March 7, 2022 –  Wolkow Braker Roofing Corp. (Wolkow Braker) is excited to announce that  L. Martone and Sons, Inc (L. Martone) will be joining their company through the creation of WB Martone LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Wolkow Braker. The companies come together to form one of the largest roofing contractors in the NY metropolitan area, with almost 200 years of combined experience and success under one “roof.” This union will increase labor force, operations, and bonding capacity, and expand the markets and segments of our collective portfolios.

Since its founding in 1944, Wolkow Braker has been and remains one of New York’s premier roofing, waterproofing and sheet metal companies, providing quality service to the construction industry for almost 80 years. Wolkow Braker has an extensive roster of prestigious clients and is known for a wide array of landmark projects, including high-rise office buildings, condominiums, schools, stadiums, courthouses, museums and other institutions.

L. Martone was founded in 1918 in Glen Cove, NY, and has been family owned and operated for over 100 years. As a full-service roofing and sheet metal contractor with a specialty in customized roof installation, they handle projects from small repairs to large-scale roof demolition, new construction, metal roofing, and waterproofing. L. Martone serves its clients throughout New York City, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties.

“We are proud of the history of L. Martone. From the time Lorenzo Martone started this business on the Gold Coast of Long Island, the growth, longevity and success over the past 103 years has been tremendous. We are excited to continue our legacy of quality service to our customers as part of the Wolkow Braker team,” shared Nate Martone, Vice President of L. Martone, and now Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Wolkow Braker and WB Martone.

“This is a truly historic moment for Wolkow Braker, and we could not be more excited to welcome Nate, John, and the Martone family. We are grounded in the same values and culture of respect and hard work, and are positioned well for high quality growth in the NYC, Long Island and tri-state area,” stated Scott Wolkowitz, President and Chief Executive Officer of Wolkow Braker.
